Responsibilities:
To carry out In Service Thorough Examinations on Plant associated with work activities under LOLER 98 (Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998), and PUWER 98 (Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998).
We are currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer Surveyor/Technician, to specialise in
Lifting Equipment where you will undertake the thorough examination and reporting of various
types of lifts, lifting machinery, cranes, and materials handling equipment and with additional
training minor pressure systems such as air receivers to ensure that they comply with current
Regulatory and Statutory requirements.
The position is home based and involves managing your own workload, ensuring that examinations are undertaken in accordance with legislation and to assess the safety of the equipment for continued use.
You must hold a recognised academic qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline with
formal qualifications. You will also have a broad engineering background with a relevant level of
practical experience in a related engineering field, which ideally should be a recognised
apprenticeship and some direct relevant engineering experience with exposure to lifting plant and equipment.
Additional training will be given where required in house and supplemented with external courses.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The ideal candidate will have a clean full UK driving license, be computer literate, have excellent
communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to excel in work both as part of a team and individually.
Salary: From £38 to £44k per year commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
Main responsibility will be to generate engineering inspection reports via a database system. These are legal documents and data entry accuracy is of the highest importance.
Candidates must have prior experience of working with databases and be fully computer literate
including outlook, word and excel.
Further administration duties will also form part of the job role.
This is a heavy workload role and we require a competent person who can work to deadlines with
minimal supervision.
Alternate morning/afternoon shifts (9am – 12pm / 2pm – 5pm Monday-Friday)
Salary : From £12.50 to £13.50 per hour
